All interns are given a $3500 stipend for 10 weeks

AHS Expectations of Interns:

1. Interns are expected to work a 40-hour work week, Monday through Sunday, with two days off - days depend on the site and events, unless fewer hours were negotiated at the time of hire.

2. Internships begin and end as negotiated during the hiring process but typically begin early June and end late August.

3. All AHS interns are expected to assume professional responsibilities and to complete required projects.

4. Interns may be required to attend special events at hours that vary from the typical 9-5 work schedule.  Work schedules will be “flexed” accordingly.

5. There is no smoking at any time on the job.

6. The dress code for AHS is casual, and interns are expected to dress appropriately for their job duties.  Special events and docent responsibilities require a more professional appearance than duties that do not involve the public.

7. Pay periods fall on the 15th and last day of each month.

8. Interns shall be required to attend all mandatory training unless their supervisor approves their absence.

9. Interns are important ambassadors representing the Aspen Historical Society throughout the summer.  It is expected that you will accept this role enthusiastically and carry it with pride.
