Activities
Map #1
Find out the names of the modern counties in Colorado that have the sites where Jackson took his photographs. Locate each photograph on the map and color in the county boundaries.

Map #2
How close was William Henry Jackson to what are some of Colorado's major cities? Using the directions next to each photo above, find the location of the photo and note which city it is near.

Map #3
This map is marked in the same way as a State Highway map. Pretend you are driving around Colorado and want to visit the site of each of the photos. Mark their locations on the map. With a colored marker, show the route you would take to see them all. (Highway maps can be obtained from the State Highway Department. You might substitute an official highway map for the one here.)
