Along with several newspaper clippings, some of the items we found include:

• A hand-painted card (both sides)

• A letter to Mr. Stallard from Salt Lake City

• A newspaper cartoon

• A small pamphlet entitled What Shall We Give Our Friends? with gift suggestions for the holidays.

• A Christmas bulb with old-fashioned neck

• Pamphlet about Aku-Aku: The Secret of Easter Island, a popular novel written in the 1950s by Thor Hayerdahl

• Several checks written by Edgar Stallard (these predate the period when the family lived in the house, so we speculate they were in a storage box in the attic and found their way, over time, through the large cracks in the attic floor boards to the joists below)

• A ticket stub for "A Family Reunion"

• A colored bulb, probably from a child's toy

—and we kept finding more!
