The first issue of Aspen’s oldest continuously published newspaper, The Aspen Times, came out on April 23, 1881. In 1885, B. Clark Wheeler purchased the paper and was soon publishing daily. He would enlarge the paper several times. The Aspen Times purchased and moved into this location in 1905.
